How Sweet it is!!
One thing that drew me naturally toward raw food was my intention to lay off of sugar and sugar substitutes (which are pretty rampant in other diet plans) Weight was part of the reason but having an even keel of emotions was another. Here are two that are recommended:

Stevia
This plant-derived sweetener is non-caloric and can be used in baking or cooking, but needs to be diluted before using.

Agave nectar
This natural sweetener ranks relatively low on the glycemic load
scale. Although it provides as many calories as sucrose (table sugar), it is much sweeter, so you can use less of it.
